NOTE: This restaurant has closed. I have reviewed  The Barrel's Head  and it is in the same building as Peddlers Creek but I think I want to separate them for blog entries. In case you did not know, Peddlers Creek,  The Barrel's Head , and Hammond River Brewing Company are three establishments that are all part of one big complex of fun and entertainment in Rothesay, New Brunswick. Are the nachos from Peddlers Creek different from The Barrel's Head? Honestly, I am not much of a regular consumer of their nachos there! Out of all the times I have been to Peddlers Creek/The Barrel's Head/Hammond River, I have had the nachos maybe 3% of the time. A solid pick there for me every time is their wings with homegrown BBQ sauce. However, this is not a blog on wings. The Mule Bar & Grill is located on Winter Street in downtown, Sussex, New Brunswick. Not only can you have some good nachos, but you can also play virtual golf and throw some axes! The Kennedy Inn is located in the heart of downtown St. Andrews, New Brunswick. It features 25 rooms and a pub called Shiretown Pub that serves seafood, pasta, and pub food... including nachos! We stopped at the Shiretown Pub just before hiking the Van Horne Trail (just down the street), and we had a lot of good fuel going into that hike! When I was ordering my food, I was torn because I wanted a new nacho experience, but I also wanted to have some good seafood. I decided to share the nachos as an appetizer before having some seafood chowder. One of my favorite things about nacho blogging is finding a hidden gem in another town. The best thing about having this blog is traveling out of town, trying somewhere new, and then telling people about it. I really love promoting hidden gems and hopefully giving them some more business through the promotion of the blog. When I tell people about the blog, the first question they ask is "where are the best nachos in: New Brunswick, Saint John, Moncton, Canada, Earth, Mars", etc. In the case of Five Bridges, it was a recommendation by some friends who had gone there for amazing nachos in the past. Freddie's Pizza & Donair is located on Charlotte Street, which is around the City Market in the downtown core of Saint John, New Brunswick. I went in 2019 for the first time, and I did not go back until late 2021. I've had them in the top ten all this time, and it really was time to get an update on these nachos.  There is one entry that had yet to be in the blog and that was an entry for my own nachos. I have had the following question a couple of times: -Do you make your own nachos since you have rated everyone else's? My answer was always "hahaha no I just rate other people's nachos and have never made my own". On May 12, 2021, I was interviewed by Julia Wright on Information Morning  and I said that the Saint John Marina would be my next destination on my quest to find the best nachos. I waited about 3 weeks to go and after that, it took me a while to post this review. Toro Taco is located in Market Square in the uptown core of Saint John, New Brunswick. It is a mall food court restaurant that serves Mexican food with a variety of sauces and toppings to go with them. There are few places that I have not tried in Saint John when it comes to nachos, and this was one of the places I have always overlooked... normally when I go to Market Square I end up at Lemongrass for some Thai Food or to the Ale House. It was nacho week at the nearby Gahan House, but we ended up stopping by Market Square to meet a friend, so we took the risk of trying the unknown-to-us Toro Taco  nachos rather than the familiar Gahan House nachos. At this point, there are very few restaurants in Saint John, New Brunswick that I have not visited for their nachos. I previously had the nachos at  Thandi Restaurant  in 2013 and did not get a picture at that time, and ended up not having their nachos again until 2021. I mentioned Thandi on my interview with Julia Wright on CBC Information Morning Saint John  as one of the places that you may be surprised has nachos. The reason I said that is Thandi is known (in my opinion) for its Asian food and it is hard to go there without having one of their delicious curries, such as butter chicken or vindaloo. However, we decided that we finally needed to dedicate a visit to Thandi for nacho research. It would also make sense to go since I mentioned them in the CBC interview (May 2021) but they were not yet posted on the blog! What if they should have been in the top ten all along? NOTE: This restaurant has closed. Delizioso Bistro & Sweets is located on the east side of Saint John, New Brunswick, and is across the street from the Cineplex movie theatres. It has been mentioned many times by local foodies , so I had to check it out. I went in February 2021 and I was very satisfied with a lot of the nacho experience and I had them in the Hometown Top ten for a good chunk of this year. Our visit in September of 2021 was not as good. Was it because I had tried more nachos since then and gained more perspective? Or is it just that the magic from February was not quite there in September?
