The Island Stone Pub is located in Kensington, Prince Edward Island. It used to be a train station back in the day and when you walk in, it feels very classy and old school. It gives a bit of a diner vibe with good food and friendly staff. It is also located just around the corner from a haunted mansion so it's a good place to fuel up before you experience some spooks! The day we visited was also the first time we had rain in weeks so I was tempted to do a little rain dance. I feel like I missed out not doing the dance, since we didn't actually get much rain. It was NB Day weekend and we decided to visit some family and eat some delicious food in Shediac. The weekend definitely did not disappoint! On one of the nights we decided to walk the beautiful trails to the Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf where we visited an old favorite: Captain Dan's . I am not sure exactly when this restaurant opened, but I think it has been around since at least the 90's. We got there on a hot August evening to find a big line of people waiting to be seated. We employed our usual tactic and went straight to the fairly empty bar, skipped the line, and got our nachos. Secret's out!
