Hub City Pub: Moncton New Brunswick

Hub City Pub is located in Casino New Brunswick, Moncton, NB. This is a fun spot where you can play lots of games, see some live entertainment, and eat some delicious food. There is also a buffet in the casino that offers a variety of different delicious foods if you're undecided on what you would like to eat. We have stayed here on a few occasions and enjoyed some amazing concerts including NOFX, The Beaches, the Buzzcocks, and the Descendents! After the concerts, we always have the nachos at the Hub City Pub.

Distribution of Toppings

The distribution of toppings greatly improved the last time we visited in August 2025. There were still a few bare chips but I was happy with how much they improved in just a few months.

Quality

The taco beef was nice and moist and well-seasoned. The chicken was tasty! It definitely did not taste like it came out of a can like we've had at other places. There was a proper cheese blend and the toast factor was spot-on. The nachos were perfectly cooked through and the overall presentation was pretty good. The atmosphere was great as you sit right beside all the action happening in the casino, and they have televisions all over the place with sports playing on them. The chips were fresh and tasty and the veggies were good as well.

They now use steak instead of taco beef! There were also more jalapeƱos this time! The guacamole is a little better but it is still creamy and plain.

Quantity

The large size was good enough to share as a meal and the late night size was good for a snack after bouncing around at the punk rock concerts.

Service

The server both times was very friendly and efficient. Make sure you find out how late the late night menu is available! The kitchen shut down at 11:45pm when we were there.

Value

The large sized nachos are $24. If you add beef, it is $12 extra. If you add guacamole it is $2 extra. The late night nachos are $16. If you add chicken it is $7 extra and it is still $2 for the extra guacamole. It would normally seem kind of pricey, but the casino is a special attraction and the nachos were pretty good. I would say it's a great value overall.

Conclusion

I am impressed that they upgraded to steak pieces instead of taco beef. That is really what separates a good nacho from a great one. I always think that it is the amount of cheese and the quality of the meat that are the big factors in the whole nacho experience. While the distribution of toppings is not perfect and they are a bit pricey,  I can't wait to go back and have them again, knowing that I will receive this level of quality.
