Beertown is located in downtown Toronto and has wonderful indoor seating, away from hornets. Hornets are pretty spooky. They just do this flying swoopy thing and you never know when they might sting or just have a sniff of your food and drink. We decided to get some nachos after a nice 5km race to celebrate the moment, and we thought "Why not go to a new place that's not on the blog yet?" So, I did not go to the Snooty Fox for the 50th time in my life. I actually tried somewhere new for nachos in Fredericton.

Distribution of Toppings
There were quite a few problems with these nachos, but the distribution of toppings was not one of them. There were lots of toppings and they covered every chip.
Quality
I remember going to The Lunar Rogue back in the 2000's and ordering nachos. This was before I took pictures of my nachos but I did give the server a review that I remember her not appreciating. I said "these toppings are very tasty but they are drowned in this salsa that takes your attention away from them." In 2023, this is still a problem. They put salsa all over the chips which made the chips soggy. There needed to be more cheese and there were too many veggies for the quantity of chips. In addition, it was only slightly toasted in some places which means too much heat and not enough time in the oven. The chicken was moist but tasteless and overall there was a lack of seasoning.
Value
The chicken nachos are $22.99 which includes a sour cream and salsa pre-loaded all over the chips. Pretty standard pricing but not a great value considering the quality compared to what you can get nearby.
Quantity
We had wings at another pub just before having these nachos, so you might want to order something else alongside these nachos if you're sharing.
Conclusion
I am going to continue on my quest for nachos that have similar quality to The Snooty Fox and STMR.36 in Fredericton. A friend of mine said "you need a top ten in Fredericton, Moncton, etc.", so I cannot keep going to the same places over and over again. I am glad we did our research when we went to the Lunar Rogue but I think the main thing we got from that experience was that they are consistently average. We will keep exploring other places next time we're in Fredericton.
