Sneaky Dee's, Toronto, ON

Established in 1987, Sneaky Dee's is a Tex-Mex restaurant on College street in Downtown Toronto. It looks like they have a lot of entertainment in addition to the delicious food. Keep in mind that when you go to Sneaky Dee's, you have to pay cash and it has to be all on one bill. We figure that because they are so popular and they are Sneaky Dee's, that they can get away with those requests. We were okay with it since we were dying to get back in there and have what we thought were going to be the best nachos in Canada after having been away from them for eight years. Eight years can really change a person's tastes, the chef's recipe, the staff, someone's different experiences, and someone's perception. I walked into Sneaky Dee's with great expectations, and I walked out being blown away because there was now a new #1 in Canada and it was not Sneaky Dee's.  Sneaky Dee's Northern Blues Nachos - September 2026 Sneaky Dee's Nachos - May 2018...

Kozy Resto Bar: Grand Falls, New Brunswick

Kozy Resto Bar is located in the downtown core of Grand Falls, New Brunswick. It is about a 10 minute walk from the falls - those falls are a must-see if you are coming for a visit. We approached the restaurant and could hear the sounds of exuberant karaoke coming from inside. When we took a peek, there was a party-like atmosphere inside with some people dancing to the songs. We thought, "This is our people!", and took a seat. Life is too short to pass up a fun opportunity like that. We looked at the menu and our decision was made as soon as we saw the nachos. What a fun place to do some nacho research and put Grand Falls on my blog!

Distribution of Toppings

The top looked like a work of art and it was very tasty. However, there were plenty of plain chips on the bottom layer. There was an average amount of cheese to go with the chips to make it an average rating for the chip to cheese ratio. I am always wary of round chips due to their inauthentic nature and the way the toppings seem to fall right off of them. This was the case with these nachos.

Quality

Despite the average distribution of toppings, they nailed it with the toast factor and I believe these nachos had some personality in that they were well-presented. There was a good amount of beef and although the chips were round, they were still pretty tasty.

Value

I did not take a picture of the menu to get the price and the price is not online. However, we did note that the value was average.

Quantity

It was sufficient to share as a meal.

Conclusion

We knew a few months in advance that we were stopping in Grand Falls on our way to Mount Carleton Provincial Park and when you google "nachos in Grand Falls", nothing really comes up! I really hope Kozy Resto Bar gets more recognition because although their distribution of toppings was not perfect, they were tasty, well-presented, and the place really had a good positive energy.
