I love going to Québec City when I am visiting the province of Québec. Old Québec gives me that feel that we are walking down historic streets in Europe and there are such great museums to visit. When we went this time, every person I talked to was very nice (were they in the Christmas spirit?). I really wanted to make sure that during the few days we were there, that we were going to have the best food experiences whether it be pasta, steak, or nachos. We had to try Nacho Pub based on its name and prime location, located in old Québec close to the Pub des Borgia and many shops. It seemed like kind of a big deal with mandatory reservations and the nacho theme, but you can't judge a book by its cover.

Distribution of Toppings
One of the few things that was good about these nachos was the distribution. It was not flawless, but there was something offered for every chip. If not, there were 4 different dips.
Quality
The chips were covered in this bad salsa and it took away from all the other tastes that we could experience with these nachos. Half of the meat was shredded and it was clear that it had been in the fridge/freezer for quite some time. It reminded me of Gordon Ramsey yelling about microwaves. The meat was dry and flavorless. The cheese sauce was tasty but the guacamole was very plain jane. They also had a few hot sauces on each table, but some of the bottles were pretty near empty.
Quantity
This was sufficient to share for lunch.
Service
The service was pretty slow and the server was sick. It really took away from the customer experience.
Value
The nachos came to $35. I would be ok with the price since it is in a very touristy area of Québec City. However, the quality and service do not justify this price.
Conclusion
I really wanted to make our trip to Québec special by having these mind blowing meals while visiting all the sites over the Christmas holidays. Nacho Pub was such a let down. It's like running a marathon that is advertised as a flat route then you come to find out that there are many hills that crush your spirit. Later that day, we went to Pub des Borgia to cleanse our minds from the experience at Nacho Pub.
