Distribution of Toppings
The distribution of toppings was almost perfect with barely any bare chips left over afterwards. Every bite consisted of the perfect cheese blend, crispy chips, with lots of beef and veggies.
Quality
First, the chips had lots of seasoning, which some restaurants do not always do. I find the spice/seasoning make the nachos pop out and stand out against the other nachos that are out there. In addition, there was a pretty good toast factor. The jalapeños were nice and spicy, there were diced tomato and green peppers, and a good cheese blend which was perfectly melted all the way through. The beef had a plain jane taste but it was moist and plentiful. The guacamole had red onions but was a little lacking in lime. The overall taste was superb.
Quantity
This was perfect to share as a meal. We ordered mozza sticks on the side but it wasn't necessary!
Service
The service was friendly and efficient, and I still remember the good vibes as I write this 3 months later.
Value
The Great Nachos are $24. If you add guacamole it is $4 extra. If you add chicken, beef, or pulled pork it is $6 extra. Considering this is downtown Halifax and how great these nachos were, I would say the value is very fair.
Conclusion
Your Father's Moustache went above and beyond to ensure we had a great nacho experience. I am glad I was finally able to put a new Halifax entry on the blog. We will be back to Halifax soon to visit friends and research some more nachos! What can I say? These were simply Excellent.
