When I was getting ready to go to Barbados, I was preparing myself for the idea that we wouldn't find any nachos there. I was resigned to the fact that I would be eating seafood and chicken the whole time. After having a nice supper on a Sunday night, we decided to venture into Holetown to check out the Sunday night karaoke that takes place on 1st Street. We were a little early to karaoke so we decided to step into this sports bar. The air conditioning provided immediate relief to the sweltering heat! We looked at the menu, and could not believe they had nachos. Even though we were still digesting our supper, there is always room for nachos. The 3 Amigos is a franchise restaurant that has 8 locations in the Montreal area: Latin Quarter, West Island, Old Montreal, Terrebonne, Laval, Boucherville, Brossard, and Centre-Ville. We were on our way to Barbados and stopped in Montreal for a layover, and we thought there would be no nacho opportunities in Barbados so we made sure to get some before heading down south.  3 Amigos Ground Beef Nachos - March 2024 Distribution of Toppings We did have some bare chips left over afterwards but we also had loose toppings on the tray, so we just scooped those up with the chips. Taco Boyz has a few locations in New Brunswick, PEI, and one location in Ontario. When Taco Boyz first opened in Saint John there would always be a super long line to wait for your food with all the people looking to check out the new place (as usual with new restaurants!). When we went for lunch in January 2024, we were served almost right away and we were able to get a table to sit down and eat our nachos. I am very open to ideas for places to try in Saint John as I feel like I've had almost all the nachos here. St. Louis Bar & Grill Saint John St. Louis Bar & Grill has locations around New Brunswick and one just opened up in Saint John in 2024. I've had requests to add St. Louis Bar & Grill (Quispamsis) to the Hometown Top 10, but that list is limited to locations in the city of Saint John. If I were to add somewhere in Quispamsis, then there's a case for Hampton, Sussex, Moncton, Grand Bay - where does it stop? Before you know it, all of New Brunswick is in the Hometown Top 10. However, now that St. Louis Bar & Grill has a location in Saint John, they are eligible to be on the Hometown Top 10 list and - spoiler alert - they made the list after our very first visit. In July 2021, Costa Nachos made its first appearance at the Hampton Brewing Company. It was an instant hit with them being sold out of nachos most days they were there. The next week, Costa Nachos made it to the West Side of Saint John, and then made a trip back to Hampton Brewing where I experienced their nachos for the first time. We were their first customers of the day; eagerly waiting for what I have been waiting for my whole life: a place with only nachos. We went a second time in September 2021, delighted to see they had improved their already delicious offering. The Snooty Fox is located on Regent Street in Fredericton, New Brunswick. It is in Fredericton's South Side, just around the corner from the universities and colleges. You can enjoy the classy pub downstairs, or when it is nice out, there is a patio upstairs. I remember my first bite of these nachos back in the fall of 2003. My friends watched as I took the first bite, and that moment changed my life.  Let's just say that 60.43% of the time, I drive 1.5 hours just for these nachos and then drive home. Las Palapas has two locations in Maine: Bangor and Brewer. "Palapa" is a Spanish word that means  "an open-sided dwelling with a thatched roof made of dried palm leaves".   Everything is made fresh daily including their salsas, chips, and house-made sauces. We went to the Bangor location in September 2022, and then to the Brewer location one year later in September 2023. It's almost becoming an annual tradition to go to the USA and have some awesome nachos at this Mexican restaurant. I have this entry divided in the two different locations with the most recent visit first.  Brewer Location: We stopped at the Brewer Location as we were travelling through Maine to visit Quebec. On this trip, I had giant cans of pop, chocolate bars that we do not have in Canada, and of course we had to stop for some nachos. We came across Resto-Pub Q-de-Sac on a very warm September day when it was about to rain. I asked in French "could we have a table inside please" and the server answered in English "right this way." I laughed after being "Englished" yet again, and took a seat inside. I think this was more of a pizza place than a nacho place but the nachos were still good. How did they make out? Churchill's pub is located on Grannan Street in Saint John's uptown district. Grannan's and Churchill's are part of the Grannan Group with Grannan's being located on Uptown Saint John's Boardwalk area. Whenever I tell people I try nachos around the city, they tell me "you have to rate Churchill's!!!"
