Established in 1987, Sneaky Dee's is a Tex-Mex restaurant on College street in Downtown Toronto. It looks like they have a lot of entertainment in addition to the delicious food. Keep in mind that when you go to Sneaky Dee's, you have to pay cash and it has to be all on one bill. We figure that because they are so popular and they are Sneaky Dee's, that they can get away with those requests. We were okay with it since we were dying to get back in there and have what we thought were going to be the best nachos in Canada after having been away from them for eight years. Eight years can really change a person's tastes, the chef's recipe, the staff, someone's different experiences, and someone's perception. I walked into Sneaky Dee's with great expectations, and I walked out being blown away because there was now a new #1 in Canada and it was not Sneaky Dee's. Drifter Brew Co. opened its doors in the spring of 2024, taking the place of an old favorite of mine: Peddler's Creek . They completely re-did the interior and changed the menu which comprises of some of the classic BBQ stuff from Peddler's Creek, and it also now has wood-fired pizza. We waited for this place to open with great anticipation from the moment we tried to go to Peddlers earlier in 2024, only to arrive at a deserted parking lot. When we did some more research, we came to find out that there would be no more Hammond River Brewing/Peddler's Creek/Barrel's Head, and so we waited. We must have been some of the first customers at the new place and we tried the excellent craft beer, pizza, and BBQ food. A couple of years later, we are regulars and their food has improved significantly with the new chef! It's always a treat to go to Drifter Brew Co.
